Hazardous chemicals are substances that can harm your health when working with them. In almost every workplace, we encounter chemicals every day, from cleaning detergents to paints, oils in maintenance, and pesticides used in landscaping. They can exist in many forms including solids, dusts, fumes and fibres, liquids and mists, gases and vapours.

About Control of Chemicals

The control of these substances is often referred to as the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH). This training course is designed to give you an understanding of hazardous chemicals in the workplace, how to identify then, where they are found, the health risk from handling them, the controls required to protect you from harm and the importance of ongoing medical surveillance when working with hazardous substances.
